I don’t live in a “huge” big city like Toronto,,,but we still have some “quirky” dudes:
Have a super Awesome day!!!
Here in Canada,,it’s a Civic Holiday,,so basically we wanted a holiday in August so the country made it so!
It may be August,,,,but lordy is it cold this morning it’s a balmy +10,,,you’d think it was a October morning.
So for this nice cool morning I am enjoying a nice cup of hot steaming tea and a bowl of fresh Ontario Strawberries and Peaches Yum!!
I anticipate today to be a quiet relaxing day. A day where I can bake some cookies and read a good book,,with maybe a smattering of school homework and some transcription.
The highlight of the weekend was Friday night when we went to see bf’s son’s band play there very first gig. Of course I took a video of them on my iPhone for you all to see. Bf’s son is the lead guitarist and singer (also the cutest in my humble opinion, lol). I think they did pretty good for only being 14yr olds.
The name of their Band is: The Classics. This video is of them during their encore singing the Beatles– Yesterday.
The stupid video wouldn’t load so please click here >>>> The Classics
Sooooo,,,i’m a chick, and I loooove to cook and well I really don’t have much to blog about lately, except all thedrama in my Medical Admin class,,but that’s boring so I thought I would show you what I did over the weekend for dinner!
Cause it’s my blog,,,and I CAN!
I then cooled the broth,,,and poured the stuff thru a colander,,,then cooled in the fridge till the left over fat came up to the top,,this is the result.
And THIS my friends is why I remind my Boyfriend every day why he is lucky to have me in his life!
And,,,he agrees! (And so does his tummy
Think about it,,,mistakes. We all make them.
From the time we are about 2, when we bite our little brother or sister and our parent gives us a bite back so we feel the pain that we enflicted on others,,,,wow,,that hurt’s that was a “mistake” i’m not going to do that again!
Then a few years later,,,we get caught in a lie another mistake “Timmy did climb up on a chair and spill the cereal?”
Don’t say it,,,,don’t do it……… Ugh,,,you said it,,,,you said “NO”,,,result,,,spank on the bottom and in your room you go,,,MISTAKE.
When we are young, we make mistakes, we learn from them and we move on. We don’t normally dwell on them for long or even feel bad about it,,and it’s really not life scarring.
Then we get even older,,,we lie to our teachers, our children, co-workers and even our significant others.
Most times we get away with it, most times we don’t feel too bad about it,,,however, sometimes we get caught, sometimes we are called out on our mistake and we feel horrible and even ashamed.
Sometimes we know we made the mistake as soon as it’s done, either vocally or just by hitting the publish button.
When this happens we face a major decision, one that can either make people forgive us or not.
This decision is too right the mistake. Taking the often hard step of accepting responsibility for the mistake and apologizing. Putting aside our pride and apologizing publicly is often the most hardest thing to do,,,too admit what you did, accepting responsibility and then waiting for the fallout. People then have the choice whether to accept the apology, or not.
Regardless,,,once you make the mistake,,take ownership of said mistake, openly apologize. You accept that people make the decision whether or not to accept the apology and at this point it is simply out of your hands.
You then need to get up off your knees, wipe off the dust, learn from the mistake and move on. It make take you sometime to feel like your old self again and to regain your self esteem but you will. I promise,,trust me,,,this chick has made many a mistake.
Mostly this post is for a dear friend, a friend I have never met in person. We met thru the blogging world, we have suffered with the same mental health illness (depression), and deal day to day with personal life problems that go along with this illness. He knows who he is, and many who read my blog know who he is too. But, he is someone, that always has a kind word, is funny, whitty and often tells it like it is. I admire him and accept him “mistakes” and all.
I speak for many people who have made many mistakes,,,,dear friend,,,take some time if you must,,,but please, please don’t leave.
Love,,,, this Canadian Gurl and your blogging friends.
Tomorrow bf leaves to go back to his hometown in Kingston, ON for the funeral of his beloved Grandmother Elizabeth lovingly known as “Libby”.
She lived a glorious life of 100 yr’s. I wanted to pay tribute to her by posting things that she witnessed, lived to see and develop over her lifetime.
Here is a you tube video that I found,,of world events that happened,,,it doesn’t go right to 2013,,but you can get the gist of what she witnessed during her lifetime.
R.I.P. Grandma Libby,,, I’m sorry I never got the honour to meet you.
